Thailand e-Visa Application Requirements

General InformationApplicants are required to apply for a Thai e-Visa online through the official Thailand e-Visa portal(www.thaievisa.go.th). All supporting documents must be uploaded electronically during the application process. Applicants are advised to ensure that all information provided is accurate and complete to avoid delays in processing.

Required Documents
Please prepare the following documents before submitting your application:
1. A valid passport with at least six (6) months’ validity from the intended date of entry into Thailand.
2. A recent passport-sized photograph taken within the last six (6) months.
3. A completed online e-Visa application form.
4. NDLEA visa clearance (Mandatory for Nigerian passport holders)
5. Police clearance issued by POSSAP (Mandatory for Nigerian passport holders)
6. Proof of accommodation in Thailand (hotel reservation, invitation letter, or proof of residence).
7. Confirmed round-trip flight itinerary or travel reservation.
8. Proof of sufficient financial means (e.g., recent bank statement, with balance not less than 2million naira).
9. Supporting documents relevant to the purpose of travel, where applicable (e.g., invitation letter, employment letter, business documents, or school enrollment letter).
10. Proof of legal residence in the country of application (for non-citizens), if applicable.
11. Payment of the applicable visa fee through the designated online payment system.

Important Notes
• All documents must be clear, legible, and uploaded in the prescribed format.
• Visa fee is NON-REFUNDABLE
• Applicants are strongly advised to carefully review the information entered in their application before submission. Once an application has been submitted, it cannot be edited. Incorrect or incomplete information may result in the application being cancelled.
• Applicant going to attend a conference or seminar is advised to apply under the NON-IMMGRANT category. Application submitted under the incorrect category may be subject to cancellation.
• The submission of an application does not guarantee visa approval.
• The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents or schedule an interview where necessary.
• Visa processing times is 15 business days. However, it may take up to 4-6 weeks for some cases.
• Applicants are advised to apply well in advance of their intended travel date.
• All travelers to Thailand must apply for the arrival card after the visa issued before entry into Thailand via https://tdac.immigration.go.th/arrival-card/
• Documents could be merged and uploaded in the available slots provided.
Collection of e-Visa
Once approved, the e-Visa approval document will be sent electronically to the applicant’s registered email address. Applicants are advised to print a copy of the approved e-Visa and present it, together with their passport, upon arrival in Thailand.
